The AUCWiki was established in Spring 2011. It is an open access tool used to promote the American University in Cairo's scholarly communications. As a supplement to the Digital Archive and Research Repository, the wiki is a collaborative space for students, faculty, and staff to create resources, work on projects, and develop ideas. All articles are authored by members of the AUC community, and include items ranging from articles about January 25th Revolution to project documentation. Technical support is supplied by University Academic Computing Technologies.
This policy applies to all members of the American University in Cairo community who are entitled to use of its wiki services: faculty, staff and students, and other affiliated classes of individuals.
AUCWiki services are provided as an online tool in support of a collaborative work effort at Brown. Its use is therefore restricted to Brown-affiliated groups, departments and organizations only. Wiki spaces will not be created for individual use.
Use of wiki space must be consistent with the American University in Cairo’s educational goals, as well as comply with local, state and federal laws and university policies. AUCWiki users are accountable to the American University in Cairo and fellow wiki collaborators. A login is therefore required to add or change content. Configuring a wiki with anonymous writing permissions is not allowed. No confidential information may be contained in the AUCWiki.
